The audio collage was edited from the thirty-hour interview archive Diaries and Dreams of War at the Lviv Centre for Urban History. The respondents (students of the Ukrainian Catholic University, their parents, and teachers) told each other about their dreams between February and August 2022. On the eve and in the first months of the war, they most often dreamt of water. Floods, rainstorms, and sea waves became symbols of the emotional turmoil that Ukrainians felt then and still feel today. That is why big water is the central image of the work.
