The project aims to study how testimonies about the war are created and spread in digital media, to analyze their transformations and impact on the perception of the Russo-Ukrainian war. During the project, we conducted a study of online war diaries published on digital platforms in the first six months of the full-scale invasion. We also recorded interviews with the authors of online war diaries. The project envisages expanding the scope of the analysis by conducting a qualitative study of online diaries using the method of digital ethnography and analyzing interviews with users of various digital platforms to understand the motivation that drives people to share their personal experiences of the war on online platforms. The first nine interviews were conducted with Facebook users. It is also planned to expand the documentary base and conduct 10-12 interviews with users of other platforms. Sources may include state-initiated platforms, such as ‘My War’, ‘Little Stories of a Big War’, etc.
